Math Club
Active, collaborative math practice through movement, games, and hands-on problem-solving.
One-on-One Academic Support & Mentorship
Every student deserves support that feels personal. Students are thoughtfully matched with a Learning & Mentorship Specialist based on their academic needs, strengths, personality, interests, learning style, goals, location, and availability.
Sessions are individualized and may include:
Support in specific academic subjects
Homework and current coursework
Foundational skill development
Executive functioning and organization
Study skills and learning strategies
Preparation for classroom tests and academic assessments
Enrichment and academic challenge
Confidence and self-advocacy
Support navigating learning differences or school-related frustration
Goal-setting, reflection, and personal growth
Our goal is not simply to help students finish an assignment or improve a grade. We want students to better understand themselves as learners, recognize what helps them succeed, and develop skills they can carry into new challenges.
MORE THAN TUTORING
More Than Tutoring
Academic support may be where our work begins, but it is not where it ends.
Our Learning & Mentorship Specialists help students navigate current academic needs while building a trusted relationship with them. Within that relationship, students practice setting meaningful goals, working through challenges, reflecting on setbacks, adjusting their approach, and recognizing their own growth.
Tutoring provides a practical setting where students can develop skills such as resilience, communication, organization, problem-solving, accountability, and self-advocacy. These are skills that will support them far beyond a single assignment or school year.
QUARTERLY MENTORSHIP
Mentorship Through the Growth Cycle
Approximately once each quarter, specialists work with students to identify a meaningful goal. The goal may be academic, personal, athletic, creative, or connected to a hobby, routine, relationship, or area of growing independence.
Set a meaningful goal
Create a manageable plan
Take action and navigate challenges
Reflect and adjust
Recognize growth and begin again
Through these cycles, students learn that mistakes and setbacks are not the end of the story. They are opportunities to learn, adjust, and determine what comes next.
Small-Group Academic Support
Some students benefit from learning alongside peers with similar needs or goals.
Cycle of Love offers small-group academic support that combines focused instruction with collaboration, problem-solving, and peer connection.
Groups may be created for:
Students from the same family or friend group
Subject-specific support or enrichment
Family, friend, school-break, or seasonal groups
Homework and study support
Preparation for classroom assessments
School-break or seasonal programs
Availability depends on student needs, scheduling, location, and group fit.
Monthly Math Club
Math Club turns skill-building into an active, collaborative experience. Through movement, games, challenges, imaginative scenarios, and hands-on problem-solving, students strengthen important math skills without the pressure of a traditional classroom or worksheet-heavy program.
Math Club helps students:
Build fluency and strengthen foundational skills
Develop flexible problem-solving strategies
Approach challenging problems with greater confidence
Collaborate and communicate with other learners
Experience math as active, creative, and enjoyable
Learn that mistakes are a valuable part of solving problems
Activities may include team challenges, math stations, real-world scenarios, building and design tasks, movement-based games, and opportunities to compare different strategies
Students are grouped thoughtfully so activities can be adjusted for their developmental levels and learning needs.
